History

BoatShop24 Limited was established in 1985 as Freedom House Publishing and launched the first issue of Used Boats and Planes. The demand for boats was extremely popular, so in 1999 the magazine became Boats & Yachts for Sale, and has been the market leader in the marine industry for over 20 years.

Buy a Boat for Under £10,000 was launched in 1993 and over the years expanded to include boats to the value of £30,000 to meet customer demand. In 1996 the Trader Media Group bought Freedom House Publishing forming Marine Trader Media and introduced www.boats-for-sale.com. Ten years after this acquisition, in August 2006, Buy a Boat for under £30,000 was relaunched as Boat Trader and has continued to be the market leader for buying and selling boats within this price range. 2006 also saw www.boats-for-sale.com evolve into www.boatshop24.co.uk after Marine Trader Media acquired www.boatshop24.com.

In 2007 Marine Trader Media was aquired by Friday Holdings and became BoatShop24 Limited.

BoatShop24 Limited now publishes two magazines; Boat and Yachts in the UK and Europe; Boat Trader in the UK. We also have BoatShop24; an online platform from which private and trade customers can buy or sell boats, yachts and other marine equipment. The Company

We employ around 20 people split between four different departments; the digital team; the sales team, print production and accounts/administration.
